CamScanner Membership Refund and Cancellation Policy

1. General principles

1. What we deliver is a redemption code and an authorization for automatic renewal.
2. Once a valid redemption code has been sent, we do not refund for personal reasons, such as a change of mind, buying the wrong plan, or already having a membership.
3. However, if the problem is on our side — a duplicate charge, payment without a code, a code that does not work, or an amount that differs from what the page showed — we refund in full or reissue the code.
4. Where the law requires a refund, or a payment-platform dispute is decided in the buyer's favour, that takes precedence over this policy.
5. PayPal's own account policies, dispute procedures, and fees are set by PayPal and are outside the scope of this policy.

2. When we refund in full

1. The payment succeeded but no redemption code email arrived within 24 hours, and it still had not arrived after we reissued it.
2. The redemption code cannot be redeemed in CamScanner, and we are unable to issue a working replacement.
3. Duplicate charges: the same order or the same billing period was charged twice or more. The excess is refunded in full.
4. The amount charged, the currency, or the billing period differs from what the purchase page showed, including a pricing error.
5. A charge occurred after an automatic renewal had been confirmed as cancelled.
6. Inventory or system failure made delivery permanently impossible after payment succeeded.
7. A refund is required by law, or a PayPal dispute is resolved in the buyer's favour.

3. When we do not refund

1. The redemption code was sent and works, and the request is for personal reasons after the fact.
2. The redemption code has already been redeemed, given away, or used elsewhere.
3. The trial was not cancelled and converted into an annual charge, and the annual code has already been sent. [See section 4.]

4. Special terms for the 3-day trial that converts to annual

On the third day of the trial, the system automatically charges the annual price shown on the purchase page and sends the annual redemption code. This was clearly disclosed at the time of purchase and accepted by the buyer.

After the conversion charge is taken, no refund is available except in the circumstances set out in section 2.

5. Cancelling automatic renewal

1. You may cancel at any time. Once cancelled, no further period is charged.
2. Cancelling does not revoke a redemption code that has already been sent, and does not refund amounts already paid.
3. You can cancel from the subscription management link in your delivery email, from the subscription page on this site, or by contacting support.
4. A cancellation is complete when you receive our confirmation. While the page says we are confirming the cancellation with PayPal, the subscription has not yet been cancelled.

6. Reissuing codes and how membership time stacks

1. For the same successful payment we reissue the original code only; we do not issue a new one, because a code does not expire before it is activated.
2. Reissuing is free. The number of reissues allowed follows our existing fraud-prevention rules.
3. Membership time stacks. If you redeem a code while your membership is still active, the days it carries are added to your existing expiry date. Redeeming never overwrites or resets the time you have left.

7. Response times

1. We reply to a refund request within 3 business days.
2. Once a refund is approved, it is returned to the original payment method within 5–10 business days. The exact time depends on the payment platform and the card issuer.

8. How to request a refund

Email support@camscanner.com.cn with your order number and a description of the issue. Please do not send your account password or payment credentials.

9. Relationship to other terms

This policy, together with the price, billing period, and automatic renewal information shown at checkout, forms the terms of purchase. If they conflict, the reading more favourable to the consumer applies, to the extent the law allows.
