Privacy notice for the CamScanner membership storefront

Scope

This page applies to CamScanner Premium activation codes bought on camscanner.com.cn. The only plan on sale now is the $0.99 3-day trial that converts into a $49.99/year subscription. An order for a one-off annual membership bought here before that change is still covered by this page.

What we collect

• The buyer email you enter at checkout.
• Order records and payment records.
• The activation code issued for that order.
• Email delivery records.
• PayPal webhook event records.
• Subscription records: the plan, status, billing-period start and end dates, and cancellation.
• Subscription payment records.
• Support tickets opened when a payment needs manual review.
• The path of the page that brought the visit, stored with the order in our database, so the purchase can be attributed to that visit. The ad click identifier (gclid) is used for the same attribution purpose and is handled by the Google Ads conversion measurement loaded on this site.

Why we collect it

We use this information to complete the purchase, send the activation code to the email you entered, handle the order and the subscription, keep accounts and handle disputes, and attribute the purchase to the visit that led to it.

Who sees it

The following parties handle the information their role requires. The operator named in the site footer is INTSIG.

• PayPal processes the payment. You approve the payment on PayPal's own pages. This site does not receive or store card numbers.
• Activation codes and order emails are sent through Resend, from camscanner@camscanner.com.cn.
• This site loads Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-GXW9DDT5G0) and Google Ads conversion measurement (AW-11379693034) from googletagmanager.com.
• Our own Postgres database runs on an Alibaba Cloud ECS instance. It stores the buyer email, orders, payments, activation codes, email delivery records, PayPal webhook events, subscriptions, subscription payments, support tickets, and the path of the page that brought the visit, as listed on this page.

Cookies and local storage

• cs_language stores the language you chose.
• cs_result_token is set only on the result page path, lasts 120 seconds, and exists so the result page can be opened without putting the payment token back in the URL.
• The browser's sessionStorage keeps the email typed at checkout and the first-touch landing path. They are used to prefill the form and to attribute the visit. They are not sent anywhere except as those fields when an order is created.

How long we keep it

We keep this information for as long as the order, the subscription, accounting, and dispute handling need it.

You can ask support@camscanner.com.cn for access, correction, or deletion. If a request conflicts with a legal duty to keep a record, we explain why, rather than refusing it without an explanation.

INTSIG's official privacy policy, terms of service, and security information govern the CamScanner service itself. This page only supplements this storefront: it sells activation codes, takes payment through PayPal, sends email through Resend, and stores the records listed above in its own database.
